First Day of School

Today London went to Kindergarten. I was a nervous wreck. . . I was trying to tell him all this information the night before (stuff like, here is where your water bottle is, your sweater for the classroom is packed here in case it is cold in the classroom, your snack is here, this is where your lunch box is~and don't forget to take it to lunch) you get the idea . . . he looked up at me and said "momma, it'll be ok! I'll mind the teacher, she's a teacher, it'll be ok! I said, I know sweetie. Well, his first day was a good one. He was excited about it and he came home with a smiley face~which means it was a good day for conduct, too. I did realize when he got home today he didn't eat his lunch, he told me he left it in the classroom so he ate school food. I then realized we had a charge for lunch today. I had not put money in the account knowing he would take his lunch. Tomorrow there will be money in the account. He told me he would rather just eat the school food, that all the other kids did. Man, how your children are completely different. Cole would starve before eating a school lunch. Today was Cole's real first day, too. Last week, when he went the teacher called me by noon saying that he didn't feel well and he came home. But, today was a good school day. . . that's all a mom wants on her children's first day of school.
