102.3

was how the day started for us on Sunday morning. . . not a radio station~Cole's temperature. Look how happy and HEALTHY he appeared to be on Saturday evening. So, of course we take him to the doctor's office and get to see someone on call. . . never what you would prefer. . . We leave with a diagnosis of a viral infection, but the doctor wants to to ahead and treat it with antibiotics (which as we know do not help viral infections in any way) b/c he also started coughing up greenish mucus. Lovely. I have to say I was so glad that the doctor was willing to give him some medicine. . . until I got to Kroger to pick it up. I then realized that he wanted him to take this medicine for not only 10 days, but 20. I thought, hmmmmm, wow. . . are you sure?? Call the Dr. just to make sure. Yes, that is correct. So, I get the medicine and head home. Not only does it taste bad, but 20 days (TWICE) a day. This is going to be a nightmare. To top things off, Cole was supposed to start school today (Monday), but did not get to. Instead, he got to go to the emergency room this morning. Fever spiked over night~could not get in to see our regular doctor. . . but, they said it was "viral" and we should continue on the medicine we had been given. So, that's what we'll do. London starts his first day of school tomorrow. Please pray for us that he gets to go and does not get sick and that Cole can get better.
