A Very Strong Boy

I must say, London is a very brave, strong little boy. He did so well today. Anytime your children go under anesthesia, it can be scary.

The surgery went as planned. He had his tonsils removed, some adenoid tissue removed, and tubes put back in his ears. I did not know that once you have your adenoids taken out, the tissue can grow back somewhat. Well, he's had his out before--but, today Dr. Chanin "cleaned" them up. Also, for those that don't know--tubes in the ears is not a fix for "forever". They come out, and are not guaranteed to stay in for any amount of time. Which, is really a good thing. The last thing you would want to do is go in and have to put the child back under anesthesia just to have them taken out. We had to do that with Cole.

The first picture is London before we left this morning. He had on his Batman Pajama's. the second picture is of him waiting to go into surgery. We did A LOT of waiting today. I am exhausted!! Update on house: The technician came by tonight and took the BIG, LOUD fans. I was so excited. They are supposed to start fixing things tomorrow. What fun.

I actually remembered that today was London's surgery. I know first-hand how unnerving having your child under anesthesia. Ryan has had a few laser treatments done under lite anesthesia and a surgery (1 1/2 hours)done under general anesthesia. That moment you are back with your child is such a relief! I'm glad London is doing well. Children amaze me!

Light anesthesia. I didn't get very much sleep last night.
